Find something fun or sporty you can do for charity, such as a sponsored swim, walk, run or triathlon. You can find all sorts of fitness levels catered for, from 5k runs to half and full marathons, for example the Reading half marathon is on the 1st April 2012. Here's a complete list of all running and sport events in 2012: www.runningdiary.co.uk/go/allevents.cgi, www.thefixuk.co.uk and www.doitforcharity.com. This is not only good for your health but also increases your feel good factor as you get fit while helping other people.
It doesn't just have to be sport. You could bake for a cake sale or knit something for charity - the choices are endless.
If you can't face an endless diet of lettuce leaves and a boring treadmill to get you feeling fit and healthy for the party season, the TLC Plan from Activia is for you.

This really does help boost your mood. I recently did a 5k charity walk (I'm not built for running yet) and it was a really uplifting experience. My friend and I trained together, and did the race as a team and it was a really positive way to do something for a good cause. Leigh@Activia

Have just signed on to help set up the stalls for the Church Grand Sale. Hopefully I will get a good workout at the same time!
