When it comes to controlling your weight, it's easy to forget that drinks can be a significant source of calories. A large full-fat latte and a can of fizz, for example, can easily provide around 400 calories – around a fifth of the guideline daily amount (GDA). So if you find your waistband is tightening, try swapping some calorie-laden drinks for calorie-free water.
If you can't face an endless diet of lettuce leaves and a boring treadmill to get you feeling fit and healthy for the party season, the TLC Plan from Activia is for you.
Our experts in nutrition, fitness and lifestyle have created tasty recipes, fun fitness videos and useful lifestyle tips. They're designed to help you and your tummy feel good in a way that you'll really enjoy.
This is a great tip! Thanks! :-)

Bitterly cold day with snow on ground. I find a hot chocolate far more appealing then water!! But come summer the other way round. shame my county had 200 hours less sunshine and 7ft. rain in 2011

Alcohol is a big one Wendy, good shout! Fruit juice with fizzy water is a good alternative to fizzy drinks also.

@Alice Oh my! Bet that gave you a bit of a fright! Yes, I am a bit fan of Hot Chocolate, especially in the winter months. I am trying to use lower calorie versions made with hot water...but they aren't quite the same!
