Good quality non-stick pans means you can use less oil in dishes, without food sticking and burning to the pan. This is great news considering just one tablespoon of oil on average contains around 100 calories and 11g fat. That's quite a lot for something you can barely taste.

Thankfully I've just bought some new non-stick pans. Soooo much better than what I had before and definitely means I can use less oil.

I think the spray oils are brilliant. Just the same as normal oil but much less calories.

@Samantha yes that's also a good idea to cut back on the amount of oil you use. I haven't tried using a spray oil before, do you notice the difference?

Great tip Helen! And if your food is looking a little dry you can always use a little light soy sauce too. We've just posted this tip on Twitter so make sure you're following us too - @ActiviaUK. Susannah
