This one is designed to tone the upper abs, those harder to reach tummy muscles. Lie on your back making sure the small of your back is pressed to the floor. Lift your legs so that your buttocks just start to raise up but keep your tailbone and lower back grounded. Tighten your abs and take a deep breath. Now exhale as you bring your legs in and stretch your hands up as close as you can to your toes. Try and hold this position for a few seconds then slowly return to your starting position.
Start with 4 reps then slowly build up to doing 10–15 reps.
Tips: To make take this tummy toner even more effective use one arm at a time and concentrate on letting you abs do all the work.
