Interacting WITH a puzzle can take your mind off being stressed AND provide you WITH a fun, calming break. You'll be surprised at how de-stressing can have a positive effect on your whole body. It also allows you to come back to what you were doing with a fresh perspective, as you'll be feeling calmer AND happier. There's been a craze for puzzles like Sudoku recently, but you can try anything, crosswords, logic problems, word searches – your brain's a muscle AND it's good to exercise it in different ways. You can find some great puzzles online too, for example on this website: www.puzzlemonster.com and www.sudoku.org.uk

Since I have retired, I tend to do a sudoku or puzzle everyday. It really helps to keep the brain working!
