If I shop at the supermarket when I'm hungry I just buy rubbish. I find if I shop online I spend less , even taking the delivery charge into account, because I only get what I need. Also if you can plan your meals for the following week, see what you've already got in and make a list, it really makes a difference to the cost of the overall shop and how much waste there is at the end of the week.

So simple! Also make a shopping list before you go and stick to it... wandering aimlessly around supermarkets leads to trouble and we get distracted by tempting offers! Susannah
