Spice it up

Juliette's nutrition tip : Spice it up

Fat and salt might add flavour to food but there are plenty of ways to make food tasty without using them. Give your grub a bit of zip with ingredients like garlic, herbs, spices, lemon or lime juice. You can even try red or white wine, beer, cider, but watch out for the calories!

Spices are wonderful for adding some zing to a meal. Experimenting with different types of oils also keeps it interesting too. I like using different types of nut oils at the moment.

Adding spice is a great idea when dieting. It makes you eat less as the mood tastes better and it speeds up your metabolism. A double whammy!
