About the TLC Plan

Q. What is the TLC plan?

A. The TLC plan from Activia is a 14 day nutrition, fitness and lifestyle plan aimed to help start to get you back on track. Created with the experts, there are tasty recipes, fun fitness videos and useful life tips, to get you feeling better from the inside out.

Q. What do I have to do?

A. Everyday you will be given options for breakfast, lunch, dinner and two snacks. You will have three options to choose from for each. We will also suggest fitness exercises and lifestyle tips. Follow the different suggestions we give you and by rating the content – the TLC plan will register what you like.

Q. How long does the TLC Plan last?

A. The actual plan lasts for 14 days. However, after that you are able to carry on exercising, cooking the meals and following the lifestyle tips. In fact it is recommended that you continue to follow the expert advice and adopt healthier diet and lifestyle practices into your everyday routine.
Upon registering, we will give you access to all activities behind the plan, there are over 100 recipes, 50 lifestyle tips and fitness exercises. So feel free to log back in and try and rate new things.

Q. Does it cost anything?

A. The plan is free of charge. However, you will need to buy the ingredients for the recipes and possibly any equipment needed for the exercises.

Q. Can I participate if I am pregnant?

A. The TLC plan is designed to give you tips about how to achieve a healthy lifestyle. It does not provide medical advice and therefore, we recommend that you consult your doctor before undertaking the TLC Plan from Activia.

The TLC Plan - signing up

Q. How do I sign up?

A. You can sign up for the plan on the home page: www.tlcplan.co.uk. All you need to do is complete the form online giving us your name, surname, email, address and postcode in order to create a log in. Once you accept the terms and conditions and the privacy policy, you will be sent a confirmation email. Once you click through the link in this email, your account is activated. After signing up you will be asked a number of questions to allow us to tailor the plan according to your lifestyle.

Q. I signed up online but didn't receive the confirmation email…

A. Have you checked your spam folder? Please ensure that you are allowing emails from no-reply@activia-tlc.co.uk

Q. I've forgotten my password. How can I retrieve it?

A. In order to retrieve your password, go to www.TLCplan.co.uk, “Click on Start your FREE TLC plan now”. Below the log in details, you will see the "Forgot your password" link. Please click on this. You will then be asked to input your email in order to receive an email with a link to reset your password.

The TLC plan - meals

Q. What if I don't like one of the meals?

A. There are 3 options for you to choose from for every meal so there should be a suitable option. When you hover over the meal suggestion, a “change” button appears, just click on it and you will be given other options.

Q. Are there vegetarian options?

A. Yes there are. You will be asked at the start of your plan (immediately after registering) whether you eat meat or fish and this will determine which meals are suggested. All meals that are suitable for vegetarians are marked as suitable for vegetarians. We will also ask you if you're more of the cooking or microwaving type to tailor the meals to your time and abilities.

Q. I'm allergic to XXXX, will the TLC Plan highlight if any allergens are present in the meals?

A. If you would like to know whether a recipe contains a certain allergen, we will pass your query onto our nutritionist who will reply with this information for you. We also recommend that you check the label of any food that you buy to make the meals in order to makes sure that it is suitable for you and does not contain any allergens that you are allergic to.

Q. Is the plan suitable for someone who is lactose / gluten / wheat intolerant?

A. The plan does not take into account dietary restrictions such as lactose / gluten / wheat-free and anyone who needs to follow a restricted diet or anyone with any other health condition that is affected by diet should consult their GP.The plan contains over 100 recipes; however, it is down to the individual to check whether a meal is suitable

Q. I have answered the first 6 questions (including regarding meat and fish) incorrectly. Can I change them?

A. Once these first 6 questions have been answered, you can change these preferences.

Q. What is Activia Pouring Yogurt?

Q. Where can I find Activia Pouring Yogurt?

A. You can find it in the yogurt aisle of any good retailer.

Q. What's the difference between Activia® and Actimel®?

A.

  • Activia® and Actimel® contain different bacterial cultures.
  • Activia is a spoonable yogurt whereas Actimel is a drinking yogurt.

Q. Is there a limit on how many pots of Activia I should eat?

A. Activia should be consumed as part of a healthy, balanced diet. If you do have any concerns, speak with your GP or dietician.

Q. Is Activia® suitable for vegetarians?

A. It depends on the product. Those not suitable for vegetarians are clearly marked. For example, our cranberry flavour is not suitable for vegetarians where as our fig and our fat free vanilla are both suitable for vegetarians. But do make sure you check the label of your chosen product, they are clearly indicated.

Q. Can my children eat Activia®?

A. Of course, but Activia® isn't specially formulated for the needs of infants or young children and so isn't recommended for children under 3 years old. If you have any concerns, please discuss it with your GP or dietician.

Q. What happens if I cook with Activia®, using natural yogurt as an alternative to cream?

A. A great tasting yet healthy meal can be enjoyed! Using Activia® as an alternative to cream can be a great way of helping to reduce the fat content of your dish- it's particularly tasty when used cold. See our TLC plan meals for more great ideas on how to integrate Activia into your diet.

Q. Is Activia® suitable for diabetics?

A. Diabetes is a complex disease so it really depends on your needs. It can be suitable for people with diabetes– providing the sugar content is factored into your overall diet. We recommend discussing it with your GP or dietician.

Q. Is Activia® suitable for people with coeliac disease?

A. Activia Cereals contain wheat and therefore are not suitable for people with coeliac disease.

All other Activia products do not contain wheat as an ingredient. However there is a small risk of cross-contamination caused by the production of other products containing wheat in the same factory. If you have any concerns about what foods may or may not be suitable for you, please consult your GP or dietician.

Q. Can I eat Activia while I am pregnant or breast feeding?

A. Yes, but Activia should form part of a balanced and varied diet and lifestyle. If you're pregnant or breastfeeding please talk over any concerns you have with your GP, dietician or midwife.

Q. What type of packaging is it in?

A. NEW Activia Pouring yogurt is in a convenient 950g tetra pak carton with a handy resealable cap.

The large format is perfect for sharing or to see you through the week.

Technical Problems

Q. I'm having a technical problem…

A. For technical issues please contact the careline (consumerassurance@danone.com) with a description of the problem including what page you are having an issue with and the message you are receiving.

Q. What if I don't receive the sign up email to activate my TLC Plan?

A. Don't worry, it might take a few minutes to arrive. If you still can't find it, check your spam folder as it may have got stuck in there. If you used a business email address there's a small chance it might have been blocked by your email filter, so if you don't receive the email after a few minutes, please sign up again using a personal email address and you'll have no problem. Sorry about this – it shouldn't take a sec. If all else fails, you may have made a mistake typing in your email address, so it's worth quickly signing up again and double checking you've typed in your email address right.
