Delicious dinner time Activia recipes.

Refreshing cucumber and mint raita

Ingredients (serves 1)

150ml pot Danone Activia natural yogurt
1-2 teaspoons cumin seeds, as desired
1 teaspoon mint sauce
Two tablespoons freshly chopped coriander leaves and stems
Coarse black pepper
Pinch of red chilli powder (optional)
5 cm piece of cucumber, grated
Fresh mint leaves, to serve

Mix together all the ingredients except the cucumber. Chill in the refrigerator until needed. Stir in the cucumber and garnish with mint leaves just before serving.

Sautéed bananas with Activia Intensely Creamy sauce

Ingredients

1 tsp olive oil
1 banana, sliced diagonally
Unsweetened fresh orange juice, as desired
Sprinkling of sesame seeds (optional)
1 pot Activia Intensely Creamy

Heat the oil in a non-stick frying pan. Add the banana and sauté for a couple of minutes, adding the orange juice to prevent sticking. Sprinkle with sesame seeds and serve immediately with the creamy yogurt.

Chicken in creamy mushroom sauce

Ingredients

2 heaped tbsp plain flour
Salt and pepper
4 skinless chicken breasts cut into bite-sized chunks
1 tbsp olive oil
1 onion, finely chopped
1 green pepper, diced
2tsp crushed garlic
250ml chicken stock (or make up with a stock cube and 250ml hot water)
300g mushrooms, sliced
250g Danone Activia natural yogurt
4 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped

Mix the flour with the seasoning. Coat the chicken pieces with the seasoned flour. Heat the oil in a non-stick pan. Add the onion, green peppers and garlic and fry for a few minutes. Stir-fry the chicken with the onion till browned. Add some of the stock if it sticks to the bottom. Stir in the mushrooms and remaining stock. Cover and simmer till cooked – about 15 minutes. Remove from heat and stir in the yoghurt and parsley.

This dish is usually made with fresh cream but we’ve used the clever trick of cutting the fat by substituting Danone Activia natural yoghurt. Substantially lower in fat than cream and yet it still has a rich creamy flavour.
