Sophie Bell

Sophie is a Registered Dietitian and Senior Clinical Research Manager at Danone. Sophie has clinical experience in both acute and community dietetics, primarily in nutrition support and enteral feeding, but for the past 9 years she has worked for Danone in a broad variety of roles, from Research and Medical Affairs in Danone’s Medical Nutrition business (Nutricia) to Science Communication in Danone’s Dairy business.

Education and Qualifications

Originally from Dublin, Sophie completed a Dietetics degree whilst living and working in Australia, she moved to the UK following graduation and took up a role in the NHS as a Dietitian. She worked in a couple of different Trusts in the South West for a few years, working across a range of clinical areas, both in the acute and community setting, primarily in nutrition support and enteral feeding, including stroke and neurology, oncology and also weight management. In 2016 Sophie left the NHS for a role in Nutricia, working mostly in the Medical Nutrition business, including research roles and Adult and Paediatric Medical and Scientific Affairs roles. More recently, Sophie has also worked in Danone’s consumer business as a Science Communications Manager, for some of Danone’s leading dairy brands including Activia and GetPro, focusing on biotics science and sports nutrition
